About 10% of adults are infections of the nails by fungi, usually with tinea rubrum. Diabetics have a higher risk. It is highly likely that underlying the new nail is infected. Rooted with this infection I suggest that your doctor gave you medication for oral anti-fungal, in this case, although I prefer to work fewer infections lacquer topical creams for the nails. Even then you may need medication for anything up to a year to eliminate the infection.

First love ... and I suggest that as a general term of affection. Not intended to be offensive, unpleasant, condescending or sexist ... However, I must admit that I still for an adult man outside of my two grown-up son and one of his friends who think an "adopted son" ... Do not panic.

If you pay attention to hygiene of the foot, it is likely that the type of infection. I had my two big toes off and not an infection, based on the idea to regularly wash and dry easily with soap and water. I would also say that my blood sugar in the blood was never constant, since the time I was diagnosed ... For nearly 30 years.

You are in the enviable position of not neuropathy. So you can feel if something happens to the feet. (Unfortunately, I have no sensation at all, or on the feet or legs.)

Of course you need your doctor to report what happened and make sure it at the first sign that all is Changing. He / she might a course of antibiotics even when, as a precautionary measure. Just enable him / her.

I wish you all the best for a speedy recovery and hope that you a long life and happy, free, healthy life complications.

Oh will the nail grow back, but can still have the problem with fungus. I.
